Romantic French Countryside Inspired Styled Shoot || The Duke Mansion
Let's face it - this has been one heck of a year. Coming into 2020 I had such high hopes for some absolutely beautiful celebrations with my clients, but things took a turn for the worst in March. Let's back up a little bit - go back to the beginning to get us to today.
March was a big month for us as a family - our first baby was due at the end of the month, but to our surprise, my water broke on Leap Day (eek possible Leap Day baby!) and we headed to the hospital. Our son was born March 1, a month early, and I can honestly say I think he knew what was coming and wanted to make things a little bit easier. We'll save the baby story for another time!
The week after we came home everything, and I mean everything, shut down. COVID-19 wreaked havoc on the wedding industry and I spent the next 6 months postponing each and every one of my client's celebrations. My heart broke for each couple, but every single one of them had the grace and understanding to know that postponing was the best and safest option for everyone involved. Since we had to push almost every event to 2021, that left 2020 wide open with fellow wedding pro's itching to stay creative and get their hands dirty. Enter the most beautiful styled shoot!
A big, huge thank you to Megan of Megan Travis Photography for asking to partner together on a styled shoot this summer. When our July 4, 2020 wedding got bumped to 2021, we knew we wanted to do still something. So we got together (virtually, of course!) and brainstormed a fabulous shoot that I am so excited to share with you all! We partnered with some of the best vendors from Charlotte and the Triad to bring this vision to life and the results were a romantic french countryside themed shoot. Enjoy these gorgeous photos!
